Have kids that like to stomp like dinosaurs? We do, too! Here is a solution – a no plants, cool rocks and log terrain. Kids can play a little rougher without the worries of damaging plants. We like to partially bury most elements so they won’t get picked up by little hands (aka dropped on their toes). You can use rocks, bricks, bark or anything. Bark can be planted vertically to create a place the dinos can hide, or used as bridges for the dinos to cross between rocks. By making some things moveable, kids can change the garden each time they play. Since it can be switched up as often as kids want, they will think this garden is dino-mite.
A Magic Basket, is a collection of extra fun that kids can take into their Magic Gardens. It can be bark, rocks, pinecones and toys - the sky is the limit. For this garden, here are a few other ideas:

Adding Rocks to Your Garden
MATERIALS: Any natural materials you think looks prehistoric. We like to bury each of these items so kids can not pick them up (from experience they get dropped on their toes and/or the toes of their brother).
1Logs and bark can be placed vertically or horizontally, but avoid, sharp hard points.
2Half bury the rocks so little ones can’t pick them up and the rocks don’t wobble and pinch fingers
3Plant moss or any other ground cover that kids can walk on and makes it cool for your dinosaurs.
