Fairy Fun

We created this lilac fairy just before the lilacs went into bloom. We hid her each day in a new spot near the bus stop, so, the kids would hunt for her while they waited for the bus. There are many fairies that you can create that can last all summer long; the Basil Fairy, the Sunflower Fairy, the Lacrosse Player Fairy, the Fairy Sisters and so much more.  Any kind of fairy you can imagine, you can create. Feels kinda like magic, doesn’t it?

Make the Magic Garden

  • What kind of fairy should we design?
  • What colors best resemble the idea (draw idea out on a piece of paper)
  • Do we have any fairies we could paint?
  • What flower should we use?
  1. Walk your yard to find inspiration
  2. Clean and paint the fairy (see below)
  3. Place her in her magical setting
  4. Move the fairy around so it is a game to find her
  5. Enjoy the magic!
  • Do you believe in magic?
  • If you were a fairy what would your power?
  • What color fairy would you be?
  • Where in the garden would you live?
